Mirror Image®, the leading provider of edge computing, streaming and content delivery solutions, today announced it has entered into a strategic partnership with Couchbase, a provider of the world’s most complete, most scalable and best performing NoSQL database. The two companies will collaborate and market a combined service that includes Mirror Image’s Geo-Distributed Database and Couchbase Inc.’s Couchbase Server. This agreement represents a commitment by both companies to continue expanding the value of their customer relationships through enhanced offerings and targeted solutions.
“We are thrilled to support Mirror Image as a key technology partner for its Edge Computing Service,” said Rod Hamlin, Vice President Strategic Alliances at Couchbase. “By leveraging Couchbase Server’s cross data center replication, Mirror Image gives ad tech companies the platform they need to remain competitive by providing fast, reliable response times regardless of the request origination.”
In June 2014, Mirror Image announced the implementation of Couchbase Server with cross-data center replication (XDCR) into Mirror Image’s Edge Computing Service in all of Mirror Image data centers worldwide. The service delivers a competitive advantage for display and mobile advertising companies that need to handle a wide range of request-response processing logic, for requests originating around the world and requiring very low end-to-end response times for many kinds of applications. The service seamlessly replicates and instantly synchronizes customers’ data sets across Mirror Image’s global Dynamic Delivery Network (DDN) so that every request accesses identical, synchronized data regardless of the data center that processes the request. This results in lightning fast response times worldwide.
“Mirror Image is excited to collaborate with Couchbase on strategic initiatives that give ad tech companies a superior way to manage their big data in real-time across multiple locations around the world,” said Robert Andrews, Chief Operating Officer at Mirror Image. “Couchbase is an ideal partner because of its cutting-edge technology and consistent high-performance products.”
